Why I love the Jersey Beaches By Kevin Obrien One of the highlights of growing up was the yearly trip to the Jersey shore. Little did I realize at the time, that this yearly vacation tradition would only become more and more fun as I become older? Each year led to something else, you are allowed to do. Maybe this year it is going in the water alone or being able to ride that particular amusement, no matter what the accomplishment it always seemed to be something positive. Maybe it is all those positive memories that make me such a fan of the New Jersey beaches. Some people may claim them to be dirty, but I think that is just because they have never spent a perfect summer day on the beach. Once you spend a sun drenched day on the beach in New Jersey you will never feel the same. Never again will you claim the beaches to be too crowded or dirty. All you will see is the miles of white sand that make the beaches in New Jersey such a special place. It is said that New Jersey has the longest uninterrupted stretch of white sand beaches in the United States. I don’t know if this is true, but when you stand there as long as you can see, its white sand. White sand is so desirable because of its super fine grains. Those fine grains of sand compact so beautifully on New Jersey’s beaches you will think you are spending a day sitting in the Caribbean. The best thing about the beaches in New Jersey is that is only the start of the day. Once you head home from the beach, the summer afternoon start heating up.
